I had a pretty full weekend.
On Friday night, had DJ, Mike, and my mom over to play Ticket to Ride. We ordered Chinese food, and a good time was had by all.
Saturday, I skipped Bio lecture (tsk). When I showed up to the lab, I found out I got the top grade on last weekapos;s test again... This time, an 86. Top grade. Yeah.
So, there were 3 people in the class that got a B. The teacher is blaming it on lack of studying by THE REST OF THE CLASS. So, I (and the other 2 people) didnapos;t have to complete the take-home test - he just averaged it as if I got a 100 on the take-home test, so I ended with a 93.
I studied on the Friday night prior to the test... Having only cracked the book on those chapters once... And having only shown up to 1 1/2 of the 3 lectures about apos;em. I know several of the other gals studied like crazy. The low grades were NOT due to a lack of study, I can tell you that. Conversely, the "high" grade was not due to an excess of study, for sure.
Blah. Unfortunately, Iapos;ve just about proven to myself that I donapos;t have to show up for the Bio lecture. Will I? Probably.
On Saturday afternoon, I spent a couple hours painting one of Bobapos;s miniatures for Warhammer 40k; I think it was a "striking scorpion"? Anyway, I named him Steve. And heapos;s awesome.
I also stopped by Central Music and picked up a theory book and some exercises for violin. Then spent several hours playing violin (Iapos;m starting to actually sound decent now) on Saturday night.
I can play the first couple bars to Smoke on the Water pretty mean
Anyway, I meant to get to homework, but I got caught up in the whole violin thing and didnapos;t. Then we slept in on Sunday morning.
I woke up Sunday morning with my neck in agony. Enough that I took Flexoril, naproxen, and acetaminophen, in combination.
We spent part of Sunday morning trying to find an uber last minute present for Bobapos;s niece. Bobapos;s idea was to find a kidapos;s sewing machine and... Lo and behold... They carry them at Toys R Us. We also got a few samples of material and different thread from Wal-Mart, off the dollar rack.
I wrapped everything separately in the back seat on the way to the birthday party. I have never seen a kid so confused and dismayed at the odd things in wrapping paper. She opened the odds apos;n ends first, then the sewing machine afterwards... Bob and I both knew the punch line, and it was pretty funny watching everyoneapos;s reactions.
Anyway, the birthday party was at a park, which would have normally been just fine for this time of year. But, it was 95 degrees on Sunday, and the birthday party started at 1pm. After a couple hours out in the sun, and the meds starting to make me feel loopy, I felt awful.
So, we went home and I crashed for 4 hours. I "missed" a family meeting my grampa called about the economy... Odd, considering heapos;s never called one before. None of us knew what it was going to be about. (It was cancelled, I found out later.)
Got up about 8, watched 3:10 to Yuma, ate some dinner, then went to bed. I was still feeling really groggy.
So much for doing homework this weekend.
So, I have to:
- Study for a quiz I have tonight in O-Chem
- Write up this weekapos;s prelab for O-Chem (tomorrow night)
- Write up last weekapos;s lab report for O-Chem (tomorrow night)
- Catch up on O-Chem homework - 30 questions ~ 6 hours, in addition to any other assignments this week
- Write up Biology lab report (Saturday)
Ugh. Also need to call the realtor back so I can get rolling on that end...
