The past 3 weeks has been utterly exhausting for me. Today is the first truly free day off Iapos;ve had in almost 3 weeks, and I had planned on catching up on homework and studying for my Physiology test today, but for now I am just going to vegetate and relax. My schedule has been crappy for a number of reasons. First of all working full time and going to school full time is most definitely NOT working out for me. I talked with my manager, and Iapos;ve decided to cut down my hours to part time starting next week. Iapos;ve been working 36 hours/week (three 12-hour shifts), but next week I will start working 24 hours per week. I think one extra day off each week will be what I need to get more school work done; otherwise, I will be meeting with my manager again about cutting back more hours. The past three weeks have also been really crappy for me because even when Iapos;ve been off of work, I still havenapos;t had time to relax. Two weeks ago, I was plagued with headaches so bad I called in sickto work so I could go to the doctor. I completely stumped my doctor on the cause of the headaches, but after reading up on headaches in my Assessment textbook, I think they are stress related. Big surprise there. Iapos;ve continued to have headaches off and on for the past 2 weeks, but Iapos;ve been taking Darvocet when they start getting really bad because Tylenol and ibuprofen havenapos;t been touching the pain. Last week, I spent my days off traveling to Cleveland to take my Assessment midterm. Iapos;m pretty proud of my 86 too. Last weekend, I had only Sunday off but my in-laws were in town visiting and staying in our guest room, so I didnapos;t get any rest then. Ihad to work night shift on Monday night, and my father-in-law was told this, and he had the nerve to ask me to take him and Brianapos;s mother to visit a museum on Monday during the day. For a man who works night shifts himself, he should know that when you work night shift, two days of your life are ruined because you spend the day ofand the day after sleeping all day. The man kills me sometimes with his lack of thinking. Sorry, that was mean. My in-laws are very nice people, but my father-in-law can be a pill. And so anyhoo, Iapos;ve been working night shift all this week so today is my first day of freedom. Iapos;ve been spending much of my time catching up on DVRapos;ed shows. I finally got around to cleaning my bathroom because Iapos;ve been in need of a hot bath for the past 2 weeks but my tub was too dirty to relax in. I fully plan on utilizing my newly cleaned bathtub this evening. Iapos;ve also decided that Iapos;m not going out tonight. Brian has my social calendar so jam packed itapos;s impossible to relax. Last night, after sleeping only 4 hours, he made me go to a North Carolina State University football game. I think I would have enjoyed myself more if I wasnapos;t so tired. I also think I could have enjoyed myself more if Brian wasnapos;t rooting for Florida State. Iapos;m by no means a fan of NC State, but it just seems so wrong to not root for the home team unless you have real reason to root for the visiting team. Also, Brian has tickets for us to play broomball tomorrow night with people from his softball league. It could be fun, but if Iapos;m going out again tomorrow night I fully intend to stay inside and vegetate tonight. Iapos;m just too exhausted to do anything.
